Car wont start after tranny swap

So I had the tranny rebuilt. Got it back and bolted everything as it was. Connected all wiring (seemingly) how it was. And now she won't crank over. Put various meters on it and determined that no power is being sent to the starter. Battery is brand spanking new (bought today). Ground wire is in place, power wires are in place etc but it's not even trying. I'm just at a loss for words here. Any ideas?

check the connections and make sure the connections are good and clean. If still not working pull the signal wire and check if that is getting power when the key is turned to 'start'. If no power is present with the key turned check the starter relay. Its going to be something simple.

After that, check the clutch safety switch. Cleaning and tightening the battery terminals will probably do the trick though.

Did you put the ground wire in the right spot? I messed up, and didn't hook it together right. Lol. Doesn't help I couldn't see anything. Had to do it by finger feels and memory.

Don't forget to put the ground wire with that tranny bolt! I have seen so many people with the same symptoms and that was the problem. It's funny, but check to make sure

Ground wire that sits in with the top starter bolt? Yeah that's in place. I just wired in a push button for now till I figure it out.

if you had to wire in a button its most likely going to be the starter relay[DOUBLEPOST=1408324816][/DOUBLEPOST]did you test the signal wire for 12v with the key turned to start?

I had the same problem in my 97 and it ended up just being crappy plugs and a grounding wire in the wrong place.
