420A Cruise control vacuum reservoir

So today as i was removing my head and my intake manifold i came across this weird box thing which is located under the intake manifold does anyone know what it could be and if its actually stock from Mitsubishi?

hahaha your funny we wont even talk about the lasat owner who owned this car alot of stuff that was done half assed i have no idea i need to look at it better tom as its dark right now and im in side i have a feeling thats its some aftermarket bullshit

Can this be removed for closer inspection? I can remember removing the intake on my V8 one time and found a short stubby screwdriver was left behind. It was blocking the oil from returning to the pan..

Thank u so much my first eclipse I had when I was starting to drive as a teenager was a 1999 eclipse rs base model which had hardly anything to it so some stuff that is new to me

i found the cruise control to be pointless on my RS so i removed it.
It won't set higher than 90mph which is way to slow for me. Plus when when your speeding, its best to be manually controlling the throttle in case you need to slow down really quickly

I completely understand and agree I hardly ever use cruise control it’s very rare u use it at all .

And I have to ask where are u guys getting those color match middle tail lights I need to get a white one for my eclipse when I get the engine bay all done and tidy

just take out the middle tail light (technically its just a reflector). take a heat gun to the letters, just heat it up enough to pop off the letters. then get it painted the same color as your car.

Ahhh gotcha that’s what I was thinking but I wasn’t sure if there was a company out there making color match middle tail lights for the eclipses
