anyone knwo if this would be possible, to relocate the giant cruise control box to somewhere less ugly but still functional? would require a longer throttle cable and extending the cruise control plug, but id like to get cruise back on my car...

i might be doing this while my car is torn apart. if i find a good place i will let you know.

1st edit

Well i have an idea as to where to put it and i think it will work only problem is that you need to have the charcoal canister under the battery removed for the way i have it done. i am not to worried about watter getting in it, i am from phoenix and currently living in las Vegas,,, it doesn't rain much either place. photo bucket is being a turd right not and they are doing maintenance so i cant log in but as soon as i get a chance i will get on and post the couple of pics i took last night.

2nd edit.... is this a setting in DSMtuners that i can turn off that will lett me add a new post as a new post??? every time i try adding a new post to this thread it just keeps adding it to my last post... any way. "auto-merge. just noticed it at the bottem when i went to edit this post.....

ok... here is what i was thinking last night. if it doesn't work then i guess i will be rolling without cruse control for a bit seeing how i can't find my other set of parts and i already mod-ed these ones. keep in mind that there are no brackets made for this yet and everything is just kind of sitting in the area i am thinking of putting it. sorry i know it is a bad pit but by the time i got to it is had already started getting dark and i had to add some light to get my phone to take a halfway decent picture. originally i wanted the solenoid and vacuum part that bolted to the top of the strut housing to bolt to the frame rail underneath the battery tray in the same way it would sit if in the factory location (or as close to it as possible anyway). problem with that is that it puts the vacuum canister and the interlink box too close together and i was having a problem running the cable between the two. standing it up underneath seemed to be the best bet. it looks to be far enough away from where the engine wiring harness comes through the firewall it shouldn't be a problem. also keep in mind that i still need to fit the fuel filter to make sure it isn't going to be a problem.
