Ok so i currently have the intake manifold taken off my engine and the cruise control box thing out...i contemplated completly removing the cruise control, but i seem to have all the parts for it so i think i might try to keep it. It never worked when i got the car and i could figure out why....but when i took out the cruise control box i noticed that there were 2 vacuum hoses coming from the side of it and both of them were plugged into the intake manifold. It seemed odd to me that they should both go to the intake manifold so did whoever i got the car from have the lines ran wrong?

cruise is ran with vaccum so if they arent hooked up it wont work

they were both hooked up but i dont know if both of the hoses from the plastic cruise control box are supposed to go to the intake manifold or if only one of them goes to the intake manifold and the other goes somewhere else?

shouldnt there be a vacuum hose going to the cruise control motor from the box or something?

Looking at mine, (the little I could see without crawling under it or yanking parts off) seems like one line goes from the manifold to the cruise reservoir box under it, and a line from that to the actual cruise servo thing to the left.

I believe there is a vacuum diagram floating somewhere around these forums. I'll look for it in a bit.

As promised.
