I have a 95 Eclipse GS N/T that I have found is different than most 95 eclipses. Specifically there is no ECU. It is a PCM and the wires in the Chilton Manual appear to be incorrect. I need to install a cruise control system and I need the RPM wire and the VSS wire (vehicle speed sensor). Also, I need to know how the VSS outputs its data. I think the most common format is 4000 pulses per mile but I am not sure. Has anyone ever messed with something like this? I searched the forums but I couldn't find anything about it. Thanks alot!

David

all of our car's have PCM's, we just call them ecu's or the sake of simplicity (sp?)

I dont know much about a cruise control install but i can tell that your rpm wire (on the wiring harness) is white...hope that helps

Ok, that makes sense. I guess this picture must be for turbos or something:

Well, that wire color answers 1/3 of my question, thanks. Does anyone know if it is 4000 pulses per mile and the color of the vss wire?

David

no i dont know what the 4000 w/e per w/e is :p

Umm the rev wire i found my looking at my afc guideline (when i installed the afc), i would check a chiltons manual it might give you the color...

where you able to install your cruise control? Because that is the exact same project im doing and im running into all sorts of problems.
