cornwall,
I am thinking of putting a set of 272 crower cams in my 97talon and i just want to know what other mods have to be done for these to work if any, Other than the normal exhaust/intake etc.

Thanks.

Im pretty sure its recommended to upgrade your springs and retainers to either crower or brian crower springs and titanium retainers. I have a set of crower 280s in my head with the crower springs and retainers. Its always better to be safe than sorry

you should be fine.. i have the fp2's in my car and i have over 170,000 miles on the motor and i push mine past 7000 rpms daily at 25lbs with a hx35.. i just wouldnt go over 7300 rpms, you might have a chance of floatin the valves.. but i cant really say much cause you dont have any of your mods listed.. but like he said, its better to be safe than sorry. if you dont have the turbo, fuel, or managent, stuff like that, and your running a stock turbo, your gains wont be much because of the lack of airflow from a small turbo..

I have the evo-3 motor in my car we just got done putting it in almost a month ago, Some mods are 3" exhaust with down pipe, 255fuel pump, huge front mount, apex-i safc 2, apex-i avcr. thats just some of the mods and the motor only has 30-40.000 on it.

since some one else already has a thread about the crower 272s

i also installed a set of the the BC272 cams although i did upgrade with stainless steel valves, and the BC spring retainers, but i have not gotten any engine management system yet and the car doesn't idle, just wondering if i get the Apexi S-AFC and get it all dialed in will if fix my problem??
