Crower 280s or bc 280?

hi, I'm about to order cams for my 1g dsm 6bolt motor. Here are a few questions running in my mind. ### help

- which cams are better, Crower 280/280 or bc 280/280?
- I will also order TI retainer and single springs from similar manufacturer of cams.
- they will be mated to stock cam gears.
- which cam will give me more gain and better response, I want to rev 8500.
- both Crower and bc are plug and play application for my 1g? I'm concerned due to the fact that we have a CAS on our intake cam.

I'm looking for quick replies here.

Crower, and Brian crower, are two seperate companies, with different products.

What is your setup going to be? Are you running an aftermarket intake manifold?

Both will work for you so it's a matter of what you want. Also Crower and Brian Crower are two diffrent companies, both run by a set of brothers who had different views of how to do business so Brian left n started BC. Some say BC is a cheaper brand n thus cheaper quality, some have had great sucess with their products tho. I've also heard the same horror stories about Crower and that they are overpriced for the product, so it's up to you on that. I will say that I have a set of cams, springs/retainers from BC and have had no problems.

my concern is ease of installation, i dont want to degree my cams and i'm not interested in getting cam gears.

My setup is stock 6bolt block, stock head and IM, custom tubular equal length manifold with Holset hx35 7blade billet wheel with 12cm T3 housing, dsmlink v2 and LC1, 300lph FP, 3"downpipe no cat, 750cc injectros, Aeromotive, profec-b, Tial 38mm WG etc.

What cams do u run? 280 or 272s? which turbo? what ## setup? do u have Cam gears? do u feel improvement in powerband after installing the cams

I would get 272's and set the revlimit at 8000 tops.

My concern here is the vendor, BC or crower? which one shall i go for considering i dont want to have cam gears and dont want to degree my cams.

Well with my BC 280s they had to be degreed. The Exhaust was +4.5 out and the intake was -2.5 degrees out.
