I've done some searching and haven't found anyother people talking about or attempting the thing I've thought of doing to one of my DSM's so I thought I'd see what you guys think. Feel free to tell me its lame or not plausible, but please be gentle. I'm just talking hypothetically. I'm not sure I'd really want to try this. But I was thinking about getting some kind of JDM RHD dash and power steering rack and converting my project car 92' GSX to RHD. It just seems off the wall and unique. Plus I've always wanted a RHD car because its cool. Has anyone ever heard of any attempts being made at this? Does anyone have any ideas on possible dashboards or any in put on whether or not this seems doable? I don't see why it wouldn't work. I have a feeling I'm about to be made fun of.

there was never a rhd dsm to begin with. they all are lhd. seeing as they were all made in the states.

It think you could pull it off if you found a RHD dash that is similar size as what is in our cars. It would be a helluva project. And would probably cost an a$$ load to pull off.

I'm completely aware of that. I'm talking about custom fitting a dashboard from some other vehicle that is RHD into my GSX. Thats why I was wondering if anyone might have a good transplant dash in mind. So far it seems like a dash out of an s14.3 silvia might be close in size to a DSM dash. I'm not sure about the shapoe though.

That picture is a fake. It is just mirrored in a paint program. At least that is my understanding. check out the needles on the gauges.

Well, I'm going to do some research on RHD dashboards to see if there might be any that will fit. Maybe if I get serious and really start on this project I'll start a thread to show my progress.

Almost positive its just a mirrord image. I dont see why they would make the radio backwards and tac backwards just for RHD. Plus on a RHD the pedal line-up iis the same. The picture shows the gas on the left hand side.

I saw a 3kgt rhd complete front clip on line not long ago.

But the big thing that would bother me would be no more drive thrus (unless you have a passenger), toll lanes, anything that requires you to reach out of your window.

It's a neat idea, but I think there's cooler or more practical things you could put your time towards.

buy a honda rhd. honestly real car guys will know that eclipses are Not rhd and im sorry to say but they will laugh at you. Put the money into whats under the hood.
