Crazy Idle

I can't seem to figure out this idle. My timing marks at 1K move from 1 to 5*, I ground the terminal and adjust the BISS to 1100 RPM and the next time I start the car up, it idles at 2K. If I adjust it down to 1100 again, the idle drops to 550 on the next start up. I highly doubt that it is the Idle Speed Control because the idle is consistant while it is running. Any ideas???

Well if you have done a boost look test, have no CEL's/know all your sensors are good, and are setting the BISS according the VFAQ then it's probably an ISC problem.

I just installed DSMLink and the idle is a ton better. It still bobbles a little bit but I may be able to tune it out with the Link. I checked the ISC and got 38 Ohms on all 4 coils. Is this sensor bad? Book sais 28-33 I believe.

I checked my new ISC and I had 40 on all 4, and it has been working fine so far. So 38 should probably be fine.

Are you sure that you do not have a boost leak? Your ISC sounds fine, but I suspect that you either have a boost leak, or that one of your sensors is unplugged. You should also set your base timing too!

It's a boost leak.

Base timing has been set already. I will check for boost leaks this week. Maybe it'll be the damn throttle body shaft seal(damn).
