I was wondering if anyone knows some info about the 2.0 crate motor from Howell Automotive. How much horsepower does it come with out of the box, is it worth the money, did it install with no problems, anything you know would be helpful. Thanks.

Being Howell, I'm sure it's quality, but I don't think they dyno the engines before they ship them. Output would be relative to which CR chosen, cams, any port work, and any supporting mods you may have such as exhaust intake, etc..

You can also shop around too. VT engines and FTY (Faster Than You) are a couple other 420A builders. Having a preassembled block can be a major timesaver, but you need to make sure you buy from a respectable vendor. Nothing worse than saving a couple bones now, but having to pull the engine a few weeks later to reseal the bedplate because your builder didn't use enough anaerobic sealant.
