I decided to drive my GST to school for shits and giggles since its already walking. I understand all the symptoms of crankwalk and plan to check for play this weekend but I have some weird symptoms.

1)When driving to school in the morning I noticed that my car wouldnt rev pass 3000, it felt like I was driving an anemic(sp) car. But it was still building boost and the BOV could be heard. Can a walking crankshaft prevent my car from revving?

2)I hear this weird sound mainly when I push the clutch in or when I first start the car up. It sounds like a slipping belt or something.

3)After I left school my Tach(factory) would no longer work and my vacumn seemed high. Before it walked my vacumn was at bout -19 but now its at -9 while now im reading 12psi and before it started to #### up it was at about 10psi.

4)After I get home and pop the hood it looks like you can fry eggs in that thing. You can see the heat coming out of everything especially the oil cap and dip stick. For a second I thought I might not have any oil but my oil level is fine.

I've been here long before my name says and I know that their are many crankwalk threads out but it seems as if my questions might be original.

If it were me, I would start with a simple boost leak check. I had a similar problem with the low rev limit and shitty vac because the bov wasnt sitting in its place right. For the tach, I would have to say blown fuse. A friend's miata blew all his fuses at once and knocked out all his gauges, electrical, etc. So might wanna look in ## fuse box for messed up fuses.

My car wouldn't rev and had crappy vac after the t-belt jumped a tooth.
Same here. That belt squealing that you're hearing is probably your harmonic dampner. More than likely it has seperated and one of your belts is getting chewed up. I had my dampner seperate and it caused the car to jump timing, as it forced my a/c belt right under the timing cover. Don't drive it anymore, you might be able to save your motor.

O I'm not driving it anymore but I dotn think its the timing belt since that was just recently replaced and everything looks to be in order.
