I had a Walboro 255 installed recently and after driving my Talon for 30-40 miles I started smelling gas and had to pull over and tow it back to my garage. The hose that goes from the fuel sending unit to the hardline under the tank had a gash in it, no idea how its a pretty thick hose. I replaced my sending unit and the line since I kinked up the sending unit hardline after wrenching it a bit too hard.

Its not leaking gas from the hat or the hose and I hear my fuel pump woking but the below vid is what happens when I try to crank her up. Any help is appreciated and if someone has had this problem and can diagnose it without me re-doing everything for the 3rd time I would appreciate it a lot.

I have been through this thread as well--How To Diagnose A No-Start--but it IS starting, just will not keep running after it cranks up.

did u install an adjustable fuel pressure regulator

My car already had one installed, I had thought it may be leaking but havent/dont know how to tell if it is. I was told that the 255 wouldnt really make a difference as long as the FPR was set to stock pressure?

My fuel filter was cleaned when we did the pump, about the fuel pressure I honestly have no idea what its reading as the FPR is under my hood and I dont have anyone to help read since it wont really even crank. It ran fine for about 30-40 miles going WOT once or twice with the 255 pump. I think the cut in the hose came from re-installing the sending unit where it was already dry-rotting and just rubbed up against metal and made a tear.

Ok? Your fuel filter isn't in the tank. That's the pickup screen, you can't clean the stock filter. The filter is under the hood mounted to the fire wall. Just follow the fuel line down from the passenger side of the fuel rail.Since you don't seem to know where its at I'd suggest replacing it now that you do. Hopefully you'll be boosting with a few quick turns of the wrench.

While I replaced the fuel pump and sending unit my friend that has a local performance shop took out the fuel filter and blew it out/cleaned it with an air compressor. I know where the actual filter is, I posted this too see if anyone had upgraded their fuel pump and had the same issue I was experiencing, hence me even posting a video. I should have replaced the stock fuel filter and I will do it this weekend to see if that helps my no start issue.

Check fuel pressure at idle, but I realize you're having a hard time even getting to that stage.

To be clear,
cranking = rotating the engine with the starter
turning over = rotating the engine with the starter

If you're not cranking you've got to inspect your battery/electrical.
