1g GSX fuel pump sending unit studs

So I went to pull my pump out of my 91 GSX and my studs that the sending unit bolts down on are rusty, bad rusty, I sprayed them with PB blaster but I've had 2 break off so I stopped. So my question is, is it possible to replace the studs, or thread the tank to accept bolt, I don't want to proceed and risk break all of them if there's no posable fix.

It's a pretty easy fix. You just drill a hole where the old stud used to be and epoxy a bolt thru the hole to hold it so that it doesn't fall in the tank.

Had all of these happen to me also. I grinded the rest of the stud off then drilled it out after i drained my tank. I put a bolt threw the new drilled hole then a nut and washer on top.

Thank you for the piece of mind, I just haven't seen the inside of the tank yet so i didn't know if anything would prevent an easy repair.
