I've searched and read on here for hours, and every thread I go to never ends up completely resolved. So.... here is what I have. I did a TB replacement (new pulleys, belts, etc.). After I finished everything, I went to start the car and crank and crank and crank, but no fire. WTF. Tired of jacking with the car, I end up taking it to Speed Industry in Troy, MI. Turns out my dumb butt installed the crank sensor backwards when I put it back on after replacing the belt. Now, the car runs fine, but idles around 500 rpm. Did I toast the crank sensor? I know there are millions (well hundreds at least) of threads about low idle, but like I said, many are filled with suggestions, and most don't have any conclusions. The one thread I found that sounded exactly like mine, had no conclusion. I was going to try messing with my BISS, but after doing some reading on here I thought I might have toasted the CAS instead. What does everyone think?

I dont really see how putting it on backwards would toast anything, it would just make it not start like it did. Are you 100% sure you dont have a cam 1 tooth off from the other one? Double check your timing. Just pull off the upper cover, turn the wheels all the way to the left, and stick a 1/2" ratchet with an extension through the hole in the splash shield and roll the engine over until the marks are lined up and check the crank mark on the cover. Thats the first place I would go.

Go through and double check your timing marks first. After that if that is all good check for spark if that checks out then the crank sensor is fine. You used a new gasket when swapping the throttle body right?Did you clean the throttle body before installing it?Also check the vacuum lines on the throttle body.

I think he was referring to "TB" as timing belt and not throttle body.
