I'm putting my new 6bolt in my 2g tonight. I had the motor built by a performance shop and everything was supposed to be in/attached to the motor that need be minus bolt-ons. I'm looking in my Chiltons and it has a section on CPS but it is not year specific for some reason. I was looking at my old 7bolt block and theres a clear place for the sensor to bolt up to but on 6bolt I can't find the place for it to bolt to. I'm starting to think that maybe the 6bolt doesn't even use a CPS? I'm trying to use my 7bolt CPS so maybe the 6bolt is different if there even is one for it? Thanks for your help I really need to get this in tonight.

If you are asking that question, someone didnt do their research.

Im not going to rain on your parade.....
Are you sure you have everything else ready to go to drop it in?

Actually I did do my research... Your link is for the Cam Angle Sensor (CAS) my question is about the Crank Position Sensor (CPS) and yes I do have everything else ready to go.

What Absolute is refering to is that 1g's don't have a CPS but have a 4 pulse CAS whereas 2g's have a 2 pulse CPS and a 2 pulse CAS. So his link explains how to handle this for the 2g wire harness.
Sounds to me that he's right - someone didn't do their research and maybe you owe him an apology for linking you to a common solution.

Sorry I should have elaborated, but what luv2 says is exactly what I was refering too. And that is why I asked if you have everything else ready to go.

Heres a tech article, Im not tryin to be a dick (all the time) but I would hate to see posts like "why wont the 6 bolt go in?" or "the fresh 6 bolt wont run?"

Im kinda jealous, my 6 bolt for my 97 is still on the stand.
