Im building my engine and started assyembling it when come to find out the clearence for my bearings is wrong. tolerance is .0008-.0016 mine are .002 all the way accross using standard size bearings, no the crank hasnt been machined on. I am wantin to know where to go from here, im kinda stuck and looking for advice.

Trust me .002" will be fine on rods, and mains. Service limit is actually .004". .002" to .0025" is what i usually shoot for. Our oiling system is overkill, so pressure won't be a problem, and .0008" is way to tight for a high horsepower 4 cylinder.

I like our bearings to be .002 -.0025 for both rods and mains. Anything less is too tight
