I cannot believe I was unable to find a thread on this, but here we go... When installing the center crank pulley bolt (which comes with a tapered washer) - does the taper face inwards towards the crank, or outwards towards the pulley?

Sorry for the quick question but I cannot find any information on this.

The "bulge" sticks out at the bolt, with the center (inside) being just a tad taller than the circumference (outside).

This is not an answer, but might provide a hint

Based on that information, I would say the cone should point out (or towards the underside of the bolt head). Just like Marty described. Its a belleville washer if I understand your original question. - I do not understand your latest post. "this" what? draw a line on your screenshot to give me a hint at what you are talking about?

I don't think the bolt & washer in the picture is the correct part. Looks wrong to me.
