Cracks in 14b housing = coolant leak?

Hey guys.. Just pulled off my turbo to port for creep, and noticed a large amount of what appears to be coolant burn residue centering around a crack above the wastegate. I'm not sure if coolant runs through there or not.. seems like an unlikely place.

My o2 sensor also appears to have some of the residue on it:

thats a normal look for the o2 sensor after its used, the coolant does not run through the exhaust housing so there is no way u can have a leak there. THe coolant runs through the center cartridge.

Yeah, no possible ways that's coolant. The pics are hard to see in detail because they're blurry. Any better pictures to help us out?

I wouldn't take a look at the exhaust housing to look for coolant leaks. The temperature would just evaporate it. Everything in those pictures look pretty normal to me.

If I were you, and the turbo is still out, use a flash light and look into all 4 exhaust ports on the head. You can see the top of the valve and the valvestem. Check to see if you have oil on the stem (you'll need new valve stem seals). If you are getting white smoke during idle, you possibly have a coolant leak in the headgasket. Do a leakdown test to verify. Otherwise, there should be no coolant in your turbine housing.
