I finally got my 1991 Galant VR4 back and running for about a week. I was going back to work from lunch when the car died and it felt as if the clutch went out. made it bacl to the parking lot and had the car towed home. So I get under the car to see what had happend cause I noticed the slave cylinder was leaking. I got a huge surprise when I was under there. The transfer case has cracked almost all the way around. Has this happend to anyone before? I've always kept up on maintence since I've had the car, it always had lubricant in the case and there doesn't seem to be a reason it cracked. No busted motor mounts. How much does a transfer case cost and where can I get another one???

according to the DSM FAQ, ALL DSM's have lifetime warranties on the transfer case since the recall.

So I guess you should talk to your nearest mitsubishi dealer!

the FAQ says that since the leak may have caused undetectable damage that they all have lifetime warranties on the whole unit.

I can't figure out how to link because of the damn frames... but it's in the 1000 AAQ page.
