cracked exhaust manifold

how bad of performance do you get when you have a cracked exhaust manifold. i got to lookin at my car cause im haveing problems and i found three cracks. how bad does it hurt performance, also what about horsepower loss.

It really depends on how large the cracks are, if they're actually kind of holes are whatnot in the mani. then that's not a good thing at all, but to tell you the truth, it probably isn't hurting your performance if they're just "cracks". It's also not very surprising as the 1g manifolds are prone to cracking anyways. Now would be a good time to switch out to a 2g exhaust manifold, since they are known to not crack as easily. Also, what kind of problems are you having?

I'd go ahead and pick up a 2g mainfold to prevent any further problems.

no it wasnt inteded to be a thread bumb. i was just leting him know what kind of other problems i was having.

You'll be glad you did, and you might as well port it out (if it isn't already) before you put it on.
