Couple datalogger/dsmlink questions

Well I have a 95 tsi awd w/ sAFC and I'm trying to determine if it would be worth getting the dsmlink or would I be happy w/ the sAFC and datalogger. Also whats a decent palm pilot I would need for the setup. Also do if I choose to go dsmlink do I have to send my ecu in to get cap or can that be done at a local place? Any other info I need to know.

With a dsmlink you won't need your safc anymore just to let you know because the dsmlink can control everything + more that the safc already does. You can get a m100/m105 (105 has backlight plus more memory) and either of those would be fine plus you can pickup a cord over at www.packetlogger.com and it comes with the software.

A dsmlink you can either send them your ecu (if it's eprom) to get socketed with a dsmlink chip or you can get them to send you the chip and you can solder it in yourself. With a dsmlink you would need a laptop with it to run the software that it uses.
