Could this be a clutch problem?

Somewhere In, California
I was driving around town in stop go traffic. I would say about 7-10 miles worth on a 80 degree day with coolant temps doing fine. As I was stopped at a light ready to go the car stumbled and shuts off. I thought maybe I miss balanced the clutch (after 10 plus yrs on stick shift cars, odd)
At another light again. Did the same thing. Could it be a clutch problem? When the car is cool. NO problem.

Mod up to date. Clutch job about two years old, replaced everything in there new with mitsu.
Out of the blues. Could there be a sensor that gets to hot that will cause stalls? Curious.

A sensor sounds like maybe wiring issue, if it does what you say any codes?

Im thinking its a wiring issue maybe the plugs, or wires, how are the temps.

No it's not vented. Boost leaks are none and vacuum is a good 17-19 hg. I usually know my way around cars, but I haven't encounter this problem before.
I know how clutches slip, but this doesn't feel like it. I never heard of it gets so hot that it stalls.

Maybe clogged injectors, fuel issue, battery terminals corroded, plugs, wires, a short in a ground I would check all that stuff.

Damn dsms just when you think you got it right something comes along and gives you issues. First my oil leak, now my fuel sending unit, and second gear going out, oh well its love hate hobby.

Could be slipping, age of clutch and tob? Can you shift, it could be something unrelated to clutch.

Dude, you're clueless.

OP, where is your idle set? What's the condition of your battery terminals/cables? Are you 6bolt (CAS wiring?).

The issue is definitely electrical.

Stock idle 750. Battery is duralast bought last year July. Terminals are clean. No 6 cas.

Thanks for the ideas. I'll check it out as ideas poor in. Where is Dora?

Dora is explorin' my #### n balls.

I would yank the terminals just to see what's between them. You'd be surprised what a small amount of hidden corrosion will do.

Any codes or other unusual goings on? Any other times that this happens, just when stopped? Might want to take a look at the ECU board just to eliminate that as a possibility.
