Hey guys, I am having a problem with my car again. The engine is finally running, but I took it for a drive and blew a cooling line off. All of my coolant is gone, and I was wondering if anyone had this happen before. I am wondering if it is a bad water pump or if I have the wrong thermostat in it. (I am ordering and OEM today).
There is defiantly pressure in the system, I watched hot coolant spray out of the line. It also sounded like it was boiling. I got the car home, luckily I was only a few miles away. Now to fix it again...

Thoughts?

I have my new pump! The wheel seems to be a lot more stiff than the one on the car. I can spin the one on the car and make a full rotation. The new on I can't do that. So does that confirm that the pump is bad?

No! In theory as long as the pump spins and doesn't leak is a good pump obviously the fins have to be in good condition too. Since you have a new pump go ahead and swap it. What greats pressure in the coolant hoses is heat so as mention above replace the hoses if they are the stock or over 5-6 years old or check for anything creating extra pressure into the cooling system.
