well to start things off the car is a 91 tsi awd auto. since the day i purchased the car it has had this problem and i have changed everything under the sun to no avail. after started, within minuted the radiator gets hot as hell and the upper rad. hose has crazy pressure in it:mad: so much pressure that it will blow coolent lines apart and it even blew an endtank off the radiator(this is how it all started:rolleyes: ) that day the car burst a line after i replaced the rad and it began to overheat on me leaving me stranded.

anyways i assumed the h/g was bad. i purchased a good used head(came off a running car) new h/g, etc. i went to pull the head off and 5 out of the 10 headstuds were just a hair more then finger tight and the rest i needed a breaker bar to remove! olg gasket was fine, i swapped everything anyways. i also noticed the car didnt have a t-stat in it at the time.....

well, here i am a week later. i havent even put 60 miles on it since i purchased it. i have changed the head, h/g, timing belt, thermostat(180*) radiator, coolent flush(entire system) cts, etc. now when i had it flushed today, the car sat idling forever. it would build pressure, the fans themselves wouldnt turn on i had to turn on the ac for them to kick on and the pressure would dissipate and the car would cool off. now my fans wont turn on w/ the ac button and i really do not want to replace any more cooling lines.

wtf do i do now?

(btw~ water pump is less then 2k miles old and it has a new rad cap as well)

ANY and all help is greatly appreciated:thumb:

Sounds like your problem just got electrical. Figure out why your fans wont turn on and you're golden. Er did I read all that wrong...Anywho, track down the loose wire and figure it out. I would pull the dash apart. Make sure the a/c switch has good points and reinstall, then I would check out the wires going to the fan all the way through the engine bay.

Wires just dont DECIDE they dont want to conduct electricity one day...

"Hey bob feel like working today? Nah lets call in sick"....doesn't work like that.
