hey i have a 2g with a 16g with all supporting mods, im having some problems, it idles rough sometimes, and somtimes it idles fine, then when i go to drive it wether the idle was good or not it boosts slow, and and the blow off doesnt blow off right, and my intake vacuum reads 14-15 at idle, it doesnt pull as hard as it should, now here are the things i checked, no boost leaks, no vacuum leaks, compression is 150 psi across the board, i sprayed carb cleaner on the intake manifold and on all the tb and everywhere there could be a leak and there is none, i replaced the lower injector seals, and the injector o rings, the coil is good as well as the plugs are new and gapped right, the wires are new, the only CEL i have is the o2 sensor where my wideband is hooked up in place of, this has me stumped
PLEASE HELP !!!!

my bov is in the the atmosphere and i have a aem maf to do that , and what do you mean o2 wired up right, i also for got to ad that the car when i push the clutch in to come to a stop the car wants to die and is running super lean

+1

Check your Idle control Sensor. It's located just underneath your throttle body and see if it has alot of build up on it. Also ensure that the electrical connector is seated properly. Have you checked to see if the wastegate Actuator arm is loose or needs tightened. Would lead to slow boost and may be allowing air to get thru a small gap in the actautor. What type of intercooler do you have? This should give you a couple possible possibilities.:thumb:

:confused: AEM MAF... i've never heard of a MAF from AEM for our cars. What I would suggest though is letting us know if you are running a stock maf, GM MAF with or w/o ECMLink, or Speed Density. From there... I'm assuming here, if you are running any of those things, and you have no boost links that you are aware of and timing is correct (apparently you are fixing that) your wide band could be the culprit. You need that narrow band simulation so that the ECU can deliver proper fuel until you get into closed loop (boost) if i'm not mistaken. Could also be the reason for crappy boosting, which would lead to no pressure in your IC pipes thus possibly effecting your BOV. What kind of BOV do you have? If it's a cheap-o, your blow off valve could be jacked up'ed also, but you said you had no boost leaks, so that might lead to chasing a ghost.

I'm stuck on your ECU not recieving its narrowband reading for idle/cruise fuel trim/delivery.

Also, just did a refresher read on the EGR, if it's no eliminated, check its functionality.

Ahh the timing, I knew it. You probably ought to replace the tensioner, because that shouldn't just happen.

Let us know how it runs awesomely when you get done.

Ps. I don't know why you would spray carb cleaner all over your engine, but do a proper BLT. It's really easy, and there's really no substiute.

Another thing is the second o2 sensor. It does not have to be illiminated. There should have been a bung to weld on for your wideband. If the readings are off It will affect air fuel ratios. And definately fix the timing.

it was off one tooth on the intake cam, and i eneded up messing up the crank pulley trying to get it off, the part where the belts go separated from where the bolts go

Not true.

The rear o2 sensor will not affect your a/f ratio; it is there to simply monitor the efficiency of your catalytic converter.

spraying carb cleaner around and if there was a vaccum leak or something the motor would rev up when the vacuum sucked in the carb cleaner... good old heads trick to finding vaccum leaks without a smoke dector
