2G Coolant temperature sensor pigtail

Look at your stock plug and see if they are compatible. I know that one won't work with a 1G but I'm not sure about 2Gs.

the sensor is the same one if im not correct which it is the same connector, i called and advanced said its the same sensor.

i used a msd pigtail with sensor. . this one.. . it worked fine for a while until i found a crashed gst and took it off and put the stock one back on. .

Sorry to revive again, need the lower sensor (to the gauge) part number for the connector only. Its the littler stupid one, # 37 in Brians outline. Apparently the pins in my connector are bad, so does anyone know the mitsu part # for the whole pigtail? Thanks guys!


Correction: its number 38 and i need the part number for the pigtail harness. Mine the pins backed out and it is not repairable.

Hmmm you need the lower pigtail temp sensor? the one with 2 wires? that's the temp for ecu not the gauge or maybe I'm not understanding what your question is!

Interested because i broke my connector too. Exploring other options also.
If this connector works, it would be great. Most of our stock CTS connectors are most likely junk and about to break.

Im using a small set of those gold plated female connectors for now. For $30 im gonna wait till payday before trying it. Ill keep you guys posted, hopefully we just found the solution to the burning question of where to find a new one

We do realize that second connector shown is not the same as the OE connector, right? The two side notches in the OE connector are offset -- one high (right) and one low (left) -- where the other pictured connector has them level with each other.

What's wrong with using the connector Brian listed in his article? Specifically: AMP SSC 2 Position Housing Key - D [184006-1] : New United Race Tech, New United Race Tech

Nothing is wrong with it per say.. but it needs to be pinned. And unless you order the kit and know what you're doing its best to just buy the pig tail. You can screw up more stuff and cause a bigger headache if you dont know what your doing with it.
