Hi all, I installed a VSRF FMIC (http://www.vr-speed.com/vrsf-2g-dsm...it-fmic-95-99-eclipse-talon-turbo-2g-dsm.html) and every since the install. Coolant is boiling out into the overflow and will completely drain the system if I drive for more than 10-15 minutes. My temps never go high until the water starts getting low in the system. I replaced the thermostat and radiator cap thinking those may be causing issues but I'm unsure at this point what to check next. Anyone have ideas? Thanks.

The cores have to be sealed to one another.

Air will take the path of least resistance.

So you have to force the air thu the FMIC then the ac condenser core then the rad.

I have a punishment fmic and an oem radiator with no ducting and I don't overheat at all.

I think you may have other issues.. make sure your coolant system is properly burped and check for coolant hose leaks.
Another possibility might be a blown headgasket, your engine could be pressurizing your coolant system forcing it to overflow and then overheat from coolant loss. Not sure if that's realistic but a compression test wouldn't hurt.
Or your car just runs hot and ducting is the issue.

Hope that helps... I think we all know what a PITA these cars are to troubleshoot..

I have a VRSF Fmic as well with a complete build with everything new coolant wise, anything in 70 degree weather or above in direct sunlight with ac on after about 20 mins driving it starts to creep up to 220° F with both Factory Fans/ Mishimoto Rad, as soon as I kill the AC it drops to normal with 1 minute, Big FMICs are the culprit on daily drivers in the heat...zero issues in the morning and at night.
