I went to the track a couple days ago and it was hot outside. No problem with my car until I got home. It leaked coolant all over the driveway.

Can the reserve tank actually become overflowed and leak out somewhere?

I took a picture of where the coolant was/is leaking out. I don't know where this hose is supposed to be connected...or is it? Anyone know?

I thought it might be a breather type hose, but I'm not sure. It wasnt in the haynes manual

I unhooked the reserve tank for the coolant just so I could get to this hose. It was facing directly down to the ground almost touching the inside bottom part of my front bumper.

So, does anyone know where that hose is supposed to be connected or what my problem could be?

I have no idea where that line goes, but to answer your other question, yes, your overflow bottle should have a tube coming off the top of it that flows directly downwards.

Yes, that is the overflow tube from the bottle. It is supposed to point down at the ground. If it spewed from the overflow bottle, you should replace that cheap radiator cap you have on there with an oem or greddy and it will probably cure your problem. What kind is that? Stant? Get rid of it.

The cap is actually the pressure release for the system to allow excess coolant to flow into the tank or to siphon back when needed. If the cap fails, it will release at a really low pressure allowing all the coolant to flow out of the engine and causing the tank to overflow onto the ground and causing the car to overheat. This is why a radiator cap is cosidered a basic mantainence item and should be replaced periodicly with oem or better quality.
