After months of leaving the Talon sidelined I was finally able to put new timing components along with a new head.

Now I have a few issue though.

First, the guy I bought the head from originally plugged the side of the head where you would normally feed oil pressure to the turbo. Can I use the hole that is in front of the head as a oil pressure source for the turbo?(see pic)

Next I have a mystery line next to the head which I have no clue as to where it goes. (see Pic)

And lastly there is what looks like a sensor with two outlets. Can I unplug these or do they need to go plugged?

One more thing, the 4 vents on top of the throttle body are open due to the fact that I forgot which hoses go where, Should I cap all these of?

Thanks

First, I have my doubts you'll get enough flow from that hole to sufficiently feed the turbo.

Second, likely a hose from your throttle body that should return to A) the thermostat housing (#35) or B) water pipe (#36).

Third, that's up to you and whether or not you want to keep emissions. http://www.dsmtuners.com/forums/art...-speed-shop-vacuum-diagram-removal-1g-2g.html

Fourth, they aren't vents. Please see third.

Hi Thanks for the quick response.

The funny thing about it is that the oil Banjo bolt actually fits in that hole. I was able to add three washers so it would not go too deep into the head and still get oil without blocking the passage. (Still have not turned it on as I don not want to plug up that area and cause the engine to starve from oil. Is it safe to use that hole?)

Both of the port on the thermostat housing have the lines on already so I will check to see if its from the water pipe.

thanks

Well after reading a few other posts it seems that using the front hole from the head as an oil supply may not be a good idea due to the fact that it may actually flood the turbo with too much oil pressure. Can anyone confirm this?

The only reason I'm trying this approach is because the guy I bough the head from plugged the original oil hole and After using a allen wrench it rounded the bolt from the inside, so now there is no way of taking it out.

Where there is a will there is a way. Easy outs/ Reverse drill bits(LH) or "Grabbits) bolt extractor of the proper size. Just take your time and mind the threads. Heat gun might help if he gooped it in there
