sorry about the picture sizes...

If you are using a 6 bolt you need to use the correct waterpipe. The 1g waterpipe is tapped for a line.

would the 6 bolt water pipe come with the lines needed to tap into the block? im assuming the threaded hole towards the bottom would be where the line would go. would i run into problems using a 6 bolt water pipe with a 7 bolt head?

You will just need a 6 bolt thermostat housing. The lower hose is a little different but not much. That is how my car is run. The line that is tapped into the 7 bolt block, screws into the bottom of the 6 bolt waterpipe. It's already tapped for it. You can buy the coolant lines from ExtremePSI.

sorry for the late reply. Thanks for the input! you really saved me from a giant headache... after doing some more research i was able to see exactly what you meant. now im dealing with a stubborn tranny... it doesnt want to go onto the block. would it be easier installing it inside of the car?

or just tie the line into the coolant hose coming right off the neck, thats what I did to keep my 7-bolt water pipe.

haha thats what im attempting to do instead of buying more for this build... im currently at $3,000 after buying the damn thing.
