Idk if you saw my other post, was named "my first time posting" I had my evo 3 set at 15psi w/ mods in profile and stock fuel pump
Now this log is with mods in profile, 20psi, and walbro 255.....i cant get the damn thing to run right. The knock is so sparratic and i dont know why?!? Also doesnt it look like im running a little on the rich side?
Lastly, doesnt my airflow look to be a little low for 20psi? :talon:

Well i dont have any major boost leaks, but i did notice something. My afc reads about 1000hz higher airflow than my logger. I never really paid attention to it before so idk if its been like that this whole time, but at 5k rmp and up im well over 2000hz airflow on my afc. Anyone have any imput on this?
Also i think its time for me to buy a chip, cause my timing is killing me

Well, yea, i need a chip, thats the general concensus thus far but i dont have an eprom right now, thought i did but i dont. I know you can lower the timing w/ an afpr by turning the fuel pressure down but i dont have one of those either. SO, i was thinking, is there any way to adjust the base setting on the Maf-t where as it would lower the timing, ie. setting it as having a larger/smaller injector? Can that be done to compensate for my sky high timing? :thumb: :talon:

you could raise your fuel pressure and that would cause your bigger injectors to shoot less fuel.then you wouldnt have to lean it out so much and raise timing.

Wouldn't raising fuel preasure cause you to flow more fuel? With the maft you would want to tell the car you were running bigger injectors to reduce the amount of fuel, if thats what you want to do. Please someone, correct me if I'm wrong.

yea i meant lowering.your right on that.hes wondering how to reduce timing because when you add bigger injectors and lean them out, timing goes up as a result.by lowering fuel pressure, the injectors shoot in less fuel.so then you wont have to lean them out as much, which wont raise your timing as much.

So i should set my base setting on my maf-t to a larger injector size? I dont have an adjustable fuel pressure regulator an my maf-t is the only think i have compensating for my injectors.

that will just make it worse since it will raise timing again.you could just add a lil more fuel since the 02 voltage gets around .9 volts when you start to knock.you could add some more fuel around 5k rpm to see if that helps.

I see i see, well i did set my base settings for 720's and for some reason now i dont really have knock like i did before. See if i were to add fuel it would be sluggish and run like crap...but then when i take out fuel it knocks all over the place. And as for the o2 voltages, i was runnin 20 psi on my 90 (although it has way different fuel trims compared to 91+) with an o2 voltage of .79-.85 w/ 5-8 counts tops. I cant figure it out....anyone else have any imput on this whole situation?

i wouldnt run 02 less than .8 volts.mine doesnt dip below .85.the maft instructions also say this.just get your high med and low fuel trims around 100% and tune for zero knock.

See idk if all 90's are like this, but if my old car were anywhere near .85-.87, it would be spittin fuel out the exaust. Well, i think i may just be turnin down the boost till i can get an eprom/chip and/or an afpr.
