I'll start by saying i've searched, but haven't found anything quite like what i'm looking for, so please, humor me.

I have a gt28rs dual ball bearing turbo (it's small, only good for 350 hp), front mount, and 1g bov. I have read that surge comes from high boost with low airflow, like being lazy and boosting in fifth gear to pass someone while going 55 mph. I do this A LOT. My bov is recirculated and flutters like crazy when I do this. Also, the car bucks like it's trying to win a rodeo. Also, I am only boosting at 14 psi. Is there any way to fix or eliminate this problem, or would you recommend a bov that has an adjustment screw? (Please don't recommend that I stop being lazy. Trust me, i'm on it!)

Thanks for the help. It's always appreciated.

Nick

Is your 1g BOV crushed? If so, it may have been crushed down too far. Also, check the vacuum line to the BOV. Make its free of leaks. I like to have my BOV with a dedicated line (nothing "T" into it exple. boost controller).

If it is making noise on throttle its not surge. but your valve sounds like its leaking.

I have a Greddy and it started to do that on throttle above 22 psi. The fix was to just give it another turn to "Hard".

It's not crushed. It doesn't have it's own line, but it is nearly new silicone hose that doesn't leak. I know plenty of people who run their setup just like mine (T'd to b.c.) and have no problems. Trust me, it's surge. The bucking gives that away. I guess I just have to stop boosting so high while going so slow in high gears. Thanks for the input guys.

You mentioned that you are using silicone hose. Any chance that the hose is crushing (or collapsing) under vacuum? I had a very similar problem that was completely solved after removing the silicone hose and replacing it with heavy rubber (fuel line) hose that didn't collapse.
Just a thought..

that's a good thought. the hose came from rre and is good stuff, and the surge happened with the original hose too. I will try to find some fuel line hose that will fit and try it. (do you remember where you got yours?) This may be my problem. my vaccum line doesn't have a whole lot of space before it bends down. (i just had a thought, i can try an elbow too). alright, i'll try these things and repost.

thanks

try another bov...whats happening is the bov is opening and closing while your at part throttle, no good
