I did a compression test today on my 97 eclipse GST. All my mods are listed in my profile. The car has 91k on it. What do you think of these?

Cylinder 1: 158
Cylinder 2: 160
Cylinder 3: 150
Clyinder 4: 156

I know about that site, thats where I got the how-to to do the compression test. I saw that its standard compression is 178 and the service level is 133. So im in the middle.

I guess what I am asking is that where I am right now will there be an noticeable difference between my compression readings and that of the standard 178.

I don't know what you're asking then. The difference between 178 and 150 is 28 which is not 0 which is therefore noticeable. Are you talking about noticeable power loss? You're still in the service limit in terms of compression and max difference.

Any time you lose compression you lose power. How much, I can't tell you. The biggest concern is with difference between cylinders like 2 & 3. I think you're ok for now but you will need to do a rebuild (or at least new pistons rings) when you get the time/money. Best of luck, Tom.

I was planning on doing a 2.4 stroker rebuild at some point in the next 2 years. I will be fine till then am I right.
