Sorry LOL.. Never posted on a forum about this. Basically I shifted into 4th and it just died no noises just turned off.... It was running fine all day.. Drove it 60 miles for a job and on my way home it just shut off, and I have no power at all no dash lights.. I had the tow truck driver check the battery on the road and it was sittin at 12 volts. My cables were connected and tighten on..

Shifting into fourth going 85, which means you were up there RPM wise.. I bet you as soon as you pressed the clutch it died due to a loose coupler, or BOV that came out.. have you done a BLT yet? (Boost leak test) if not here is how to do it, and how to make one.

If you have performed those things, have you done a compression check? These are a few things you can check just on a normal basis if something goes wrong.

nah i drove for a bit, and i didnt shift into 4th at 85 i was going 85 when it died.. i was in 4th for generally 45 seconds to a minute and then it just died..

alright, just stressin its my DD so like i have 2 days to figure this shit out before work on monday..

i pray its something simple, and not some cluster #### of wiring from the guy i bought it from.

I went through and checked all the fuses I blew my ignition fuse replaced it and it started thanks for the help everyone, my only
Other question is something else wrong that caused it or is it something that can just blow from being old?

I have owned my 95 Eagle Talon TSI since new in 1995, and have never had any fuses blow on it......well I should correct that.

I was tightening down my alternator cable and sparked the wrench on the exhaust manifold and blew a main fuse..

Moral of the story is that there is always a reason, whither its wiring or just a faulty fuse its hard to tell.

How could a missing timing belt make the lights go out? That sounds about as smart as checking to make sure he has a steering wheel.

He lost electrical power!!!!

I would ignore ^^^^^^^post it makes no since!

Boost leaks do not affect the lights guys....come on!

He lost power.....check the fuses under the hood and inside the car. Sounds like you blew a fuse or fusible link.

:ohdamn: Seriously ? Proof reading makes a difference, :applause:

Make sure you have your Intake manifold Grounded, Also it helps to add grounds to block and tranny.
It sounds like you had an electrical surge, and that is why you busted that fuse..:hmm:
