okay, im picking up a n/a 6 bolt motor and trans 5 speed. im swapping it into my 2g that got crankwalk.
1: Can i just install my 6bolt to my 2g trans? both from 5 speed.

2: the 6 bolt is n/a and i plan on using my 20g, injectors, ect.. will it bolt right on and work with a 1g n/a ecu or do i have to get the eprom ecu from a turbo 1g?

3: im buying my 6bolt motor and trans in one piece with everything to put back in a car in its stock form, but im using my turbo, all other bolt ons and 2g maf from my 7bolt will that work?

4: im buying the 6bolt and trans for $500, and will have $1000 left to play with for installation and any other parts i need for this to work will i be in the clear or will the n/a 6 bolt need more money to become a turbo'd 6bolt in my 2g?

5: the installation will cost roughly 700. ^

6: is the wiring harness from the n/a 6 bolt able to still work if i slap my turbo and other bolt on's to the motor. i have all my tuning and wideband devices still.

PLEASE DONT SEND ME LINKS, I JUST ASK FOR SIMPLE GET TO THE POINT ANSWERS FROM YOU FELLOW DSMER'S. THANK YOU FOR YOUR TIME.

convert the non turbo harness to a turbo harness, im kinda of confused, i would use turbo set up in your na block i never did that i just got a turbo block. Follow the link on 2g swap for harness, and use the changes needed for wiring up a 6 bolt engine into a 2g dsm. I would read more on this, are you doing the swap. Eprom use the 2g one for a turbo car, you need a turbo ecu. Have you seen that link, sounds like your wanting to use n a parts for a turbo set up.

1: Yes.
2: You need your turbo 2G ECU.
3: Depends on what parts you are wanting to use. Your turbo and 2G MAF will work.
4: You should get forged pistons. The NA 4G63's do not come with oil squirters. Using OEM pistons without oil squirters is not a good idea.
5: Your not doing the swap yourself?
6: Your 2G wiring harness will work. There is no swapping of harnesses needed. You will however need to wire up the 1G CAS.

Just to be clear, you are using your 2G transmission correct? Because you cannot use a 1G trans in a 2G.

im not doing it myself because of the fact i dont have a cherry picker.

where do i get oil squirters that will work in the 6bolt motor?

yes, i am using my 2g trans on a 6bolt n/a motor and installing my turbo, injectors so in to the n/a 6bolt and installing in my 1995 gst.

Honestly, it would be far better to use that money to buy a turbo engine. I used an n/a 6 bolt, but I used forged internals. The comp ratio is too high, and the pistons ring grooves too high to see much boost on the stock na pistons. At the very least use forged pistons or evo 9 pistons. To use oil squirters in a na block requires complete disassembly, and the holes need to be drilled and tapped into the oil vein. Wiring is simple. All you have to do is wire in the 1g cas into the 2g harness. See the above link for complete instructions.

A supporting vendor like JNZ Tuning, STM or etc.

But you will need a machine shop drill and tap for the oil jets aka squirters.

Why not go buy engine hoist/cherry picker from HF for $100, its a must if you own a DSM ROFL

I just can't find any complete turbo six bolts in my area for sale!!!!! Under a grand!!!! So I may have to go the n/a rout

For the same price overall could I just get tri-metals bearings, trigger plate and timing belt installed?

just remember, the 6bolt i can buy tomorrow comes with the transfer case flywheel and transmission all for $400! any 6 bolt turbo with all that will probably cost alot more...

another option would be to rebuild my 7 bolt with stronger thrust bearings? anyone know a great 7bolt rebuild kit that is ammune to crankwalk?? do i need a new crankshaft after crankwalk?

as in rebuild kit i mean timing rebuild kit, my motor was just done, but got crankwalk.

i was sure it was crankwalk cause my trigger plate bent and broke 2 crankshaft position sensors. pretty sure i can move it in and out. with alot of force though

There is nothing wrong with using a non turbo 6 bolt block. Of course it doesn't have oil squirters in it, and if you want them then you need a machine shop to drill/tap the holes for them which requires taking the engine apart. If I were you, I would swap in your n/t 6 bolt block, put your 2g head on it and use your 2g wiring and ecu since that's what people usually do for a 6 bolt swap anyway. Also, you want the 1g CAS which there is a step by step guide on roadraceengineering.com somewhere.

well my 7 bolt needs new thrust bearings. think im just going to go with this stuff, my current shopping cart on extreme psi. please tell me this stuff will rid of my crankwalk??!

1:ACL RACE "TRI-METAL" MAIN BEARING SET: MITSUBISHI ECLIPSE 1992-1997 7-BOLT #19651
2:ACL Aluglide Main Bearing Set: Mitsubishi Eclipse 1992-1997 7-Bolt (are 1&2 same thing? look different)

3:OEM Engine Crank Sensor (Cam Angle Sensor): Mitsubishi Eclipse 95-99

4:OEM Oil Return Line : Mitsubishi Eclipse 95-99

5:OEM Crankshaft Timing Trigger Plate : Mitsubishi Eclipse 95-99 (will this really work on my 95? looks different than the one currently on my car?)

6: OEM 4G63 Timing Belt : Mitsubishi Eclipse 90-99

7: OEM Timing Belt Cover All : Mitsubishi Eclipse 95-99

8: OEM Timing Belt Tensioner Adjuster : Mitsubishi Eclipse 95-99
BTW the trigger plate that on my list is all one level, mine on my 95 currently, has like fins on it

If you really wanna prevent crankwalk then get arp main studs(requires getting your block align honed) as well as the main cap dowels that mach v motorsports sells. Do you already have the non turbo 6 bolt block though?
