Complete 1g engine.Can 2g coil pack be used IF...

I am doing a complete 1g swap and i know that magnus says 1g coil pack but wont a 2g coil pack work? IF i mount it in the intake manifold recess cleanly? Is there a different spark it gives? If its just cause the 2g doesnt sit in the recess is the only reason magnus says 1g coil pack then i could just make my own bracket and mount this 2g coil pack? Anyone know the final word on this?

If your using 1g IM then the 2g coilpack mounting bracket won't work. I put my 2g coilpacks in a 1g mounting bracket. They didn't bolt exactly to the bracket, it moved the coilpacks towards the engig more, but it still worked.

Alright so the 2g one will work but just mounting it is the only problem.I guess i will purchase a 1g bracket and monkey it from there.Thanks 44pirate..ARrRhhG

u are droping the full 6 bolt engine 1g block and head into a 2g?

Yes, The process is complete 1g heads and 1g engine block.

I concur, It worked fine two previous times I switched out my coil packs. Only the mounting places were issues.
