So I did check and all i saw was how to do on a 2g.

I have the Chiltons but it does not give a very clear answer

I wanna remove my coil pack to replace and I was told it had three bolts holding it in

I found the two on top and one on side near bottem but does not wanna come out like there is still one holding it on the back and diagram or refrances i can check out

Also i was told by a mechanic friend of mine that 2 and 3 are not sparking this is the coil pack and possably wires not any otherhuge problem

Thank you for any replies

I can remove the coil from the factory location without unbolting anything else. BUT,
I do not run the stock Fuel Pressure Regulator (on end of fuel rail), I am not sure if this would be in the way of the coilpack during removal.

Have you done the tests on the coilpack and power transistor? If you haven't (I assumed you did before coilpack removal) do the test first, then replace accordingly. There is a lot you can learn during the testing process.

My mechanic did these test for me so I would not do anything stupid. I looked for that top vertical bolt and it seems my mani is in the way

The blue circle is the location is was refering to, the bolt goes through horizontally. The green circles are the other bolt locations.

It was difficult to get all the holes in one pcture so here are two photos.

I am gonna try this weekend, Guess I just gottastick a socket in there and pray

Thank you for the picture, I will let you know how it goes

you can get it off without taking off anythign extra. Just use a 1/4 inch drive socket on a wobble extension, Have a magnetic pickup tool handy for when they fall into the curve in the intake mani. The fun part is getting the bolts back in.

So I had to unbolt fuel rail and move it half an inch to get it out. Wasnt to bad so itsok..

Went to junk yard and they gave me a 90 NA coil Pack, Which I Found out later today does not work. so a friend of mine is getting me one at cost so i am getting a new one at old one price so its ok. So I thank you for all your help and I will post a close to this tomorrow when Done :thumb: :thumb: :thumb:

There are many differences in the parts between the 90 and 91-94 years. So you have to be careful when it comes to used parts.

Just to name some differences for a heads up: Fuel rail, Coil, Gauge Cluster, ECU (swap two wires), Throttle body, Cam Angle Sensor, Cruise control, Shifter and cables. 90s had an external oil cooler, while the other years do not.

It's unfortunate that you were given a 90 coil, hope all goes well tomorrow.

So my friend gets the part and of cource its broken, The two studs in back highlighted in yellow

So of cource now they do not have another one, So calling a bunch of places and bam this guy has one at his house used, So my question is Coil pack of a Cyclone engine and or a 1998 coil pack. If I just take the Ignition coil off and move them over it should be the same right??? Here Highlighted Red
