I know I'm not a noob on DSM, but I am a noob on the 4g37. Ever since I've got the car that first start is a real pain. It seems that I have to crank the motor, then cycle the ignition. And crank again. It with try to fire but seems like its only sparking one cylinder. The colder temps from outside make it harder to get it started. Today it was about 37 outside, and I hooked my car up to jumpers.. seemed like it took me about 45 mins to get it started. In warmer temps like 80 it takes about 3 tries to get it started. When I do get it going it will idle at 500 -700 , and if I don't hold the gas it will die. When the motor gets warmed up it seems to be fine, except it idles at about 1100 revolutions. I did some research on it and every person who has a similer problem doesn't give feed back! And my thoughts when I try to figure out the problem in my head is that its not getting a good spark for some reason. My battery needs replaced but that should not be the cause to the issue. Iread somewhere about the barometric pressure sensor could be bad. I thought to myself wth is a barometric sensor why would a car need to know when its gonna rain or snow . But I was told its to help it ecu with your a/f ratio. But still doesn't help I tried checking the cel but I'm not getting anything from the light. If anyone has any ideas that would be awesome!
