My transmission been acting kinda bit weird, so i took it to aamco for them to check it out.."thinking that my shift linkage probaly needs to be adjusted". they said that my transmisson is "flaring up" w/e that means and that i need a rebuild! $1,400 and thats not included what they call "hard parts" if something else is wrong..so yea i said no thanks.

I jus got my datalogger yesterday and i pulled out a code 24 *vehicle speed sensor*, does this affect the transmission in shifting? It kinda shifts a bit early and jerks a bit when i let off the gas after 30-40 mins of driving. My car never grinds, or gets stuck in limp modes..**knock on wood** so thats why i feel maybe its something minor, like this code.

I was suppose to do a manual swap but i got assed out and cant find anyone to do it for me.=/. John from ipt your the best with transmissions so i know I'm gonna hear the answer from you..

thanks! =D
oo p.s. Where is this sensor located at around the transmission right? kinda lost on that one, sorry!

The speed sensor can definitely mae your trans feel like crap. I had it fail in my Taurus before and it started slipping as if the clutches were burned..

ok guys thanks for your time and help, im hoping this solves my problems, im gonna try to pick up a new sensor tomm..thanks!

ok bad news...my car is slipping so bad that i cant even drive it! its acts wierd and makes a loud strange sound, like angry bees buzzing..? i cant pinpoint where its from but its from the transmisson and my kickdown sensor making a ticking sound too. sometimes it would drive tho. but im gonna leave it in the driveway. i plan on getting the sensor replaced tomm, but i think i should just buy a jdm transmisson from ebay, cause i have 151,xxx miles on mines. since mines is a 1990 would a 90-94 fit? also since its a jdm is there nething that i need to change? o and i dont have a phone line in my house anymore using my friends computer so if u guys could answer me on my aim that i have on my celly...my address is passion4speed21 it may take awhile for me 2 respond cause my celly is slow too...=/. thanks for ur help!
