just getting engine back in car and hooked up logger to check things. i knew that before i pulled the motor i was getting a cel, so before i get running again i thought i would check to see what it was. turns out to be code 12, airflow i believe? any way, is this normal without the car moving or is it a problem with the mas? also my tps shows 5 at idle. is the tps adjustable or is it just bad? will get a running log when i get the axles back in the car. thanks.

Check your biss screw and try adjusting that. If not then try to adjust your throttle cable. This is just possible fix for the tps being at 5%.

mmcd on a palm. it is at 1.5% and now has a good idle of 750-820. you say it should be at 10% during idle. well at 5% my idle was up and down, but hey everyones car is different.

The TPS setting doesn't directly effect the idle speed.

The factory spec for the 1G output with the throttle closed is 0.48v to 0.52v which equates to 9.6% to 10.4% as displayed by MMCd. You should get a CEL for the TPS if you drive the car around set like yours is. We'll see what happens.

Did you resolve the cause of your 12 error code?

Steve

no i have not resolved the code 12. plan to change mas with another one that i have and try that. as for the tps %, thanks for the correct number to go by with my palm. i will try to set it at the numbers you stated and see what happens. thanks.

when using my palm to log, the isc is always at 22.6%. why? the isc ohms out ok and i have tried another, no change. tps is 9.7% at idle now. the baro also stays at 14.37 psi. also wondering about tima and what numbers are normal at idle, what is to high or to low. thanks.
