So I got this problem and i thought it was the 1-2 shifter fork or a bad 1-2 syncro but appearently its not, or i could not know what i am lookin at. First I had the problem of loosing first gear. That was what I came to believe was a bad syncro. The clutch wouldn't engage in first, it would pop out without caughting at all. I reasearched this and from Jackstransmissions I came to believe it was a syncro. Then (since this was my only car) I had to take off from second. fter about two weeks I was foolin around and gave the car probably 4500-5000 rpms to take off from second. THat didnt go over to well with something. The car popped an went into gear but me and my buddy knew something was wrong. From then on I will give the car gas and start letting out the clutch and it will not catch unless I give it pretty much no throttle and even then it of course wants to stall so I give it some gass and It just sounds horrible and is horrible. ANY IDEAS??? I Took out the trans and completely dissassembled it, so i am pretty sure nothing is wrong in there. I originally thought I had just broke the 1-2 shifter fork because from reading on here I figured out that they can break kinda easy. I looked at them all and they are all fine. Any imput would help me. I am having a guy that does trans come by the house to take a look and see if he has any imput but that isn't for a couple days. I am also going to go ahead and take out the clutch and flywheel and see if I brke any teeth on either one of those. The clutch is a 6 puck racing clutch with very little miles on it so i don't think that is the problem. Maybe the flywheel???

Ok first off make sure that all ## synros teeth r all intact and not rounded off at all, secon check all ## blocker rings and attcual spur gear none of the tee th shud be chipped nor rounded. Secondly, six puck clutch discs can be used for street used but are nto i repaet are not recommed for street use because of shock through the drivetrain i would suggest goign to a street disc, ok then check your flywheel for any scoring, and heat checking, then go to pressure plate and check that, for the same things. also check all seals for any swelling this will be a sure sign of contaminates.... ok hhmm if u need any other help send me a quick pm and ill try to help you man

I wouldnt have driven it like that, 6 puck is going to be ruff on a DD car if you have decent power a ACt 2900 or whatever brand with a street disc hold plenty of power.
