bad tranny?

hey guys finally got my car running, just not moving now, we put it down off the stands and well it didnt move at all, i put it in reverse to back it up and the reverse lights came on, and my dad said that the clutch was working, but it didnt move, its a brand new clutch and i have a brand new drivers side axle. then we tried starting it in 1st gear with foot off the clutch, still nothing not even a jump, but yet the when reving the car up and acting like im driving down the road(on stands mind you) the speedo moves but still no movement

Baically the best thing you can do is pull your trans apart and find out whats broken.

i would try to shift into gear manually by hand first with the shift lever. this way you can actually feel if its going in gear before removing the transmission.
