My car is currently in for a tranny rebuild. I wasn't sure what the best route was to take so i decided just to have them to a rebuild since it seemed like they knew what they were talkin about. I took it to Jim and Son's in Ohio here. They have recommended and have been around since 1958. The guy there assured me that it was a full rebuild. He said all the parts get replace and any broken or wore hard parts will be replaced. He said they update with parts that have been released by the dealership so it should be stronger. His exact words were "it will be better then new".
One friend told me how some kid had his rebuilt and it started slippin after 10k. Also he said my tranny couldn't hold more power then stock.
My question is have you had good luck with a rebuild or no? Its an automatic by the way.
Thanks
