Hey today I was driving and slowly and gradually my clutch pedal got worse and worse feeling like there was no pressure in the syste.m I checked the fluid and it was full and the clutch doesn't slip at all how can i tell if this is a slave or master cylinder and how hard of a job is this to replace on my own. Thanks

if its a slave its really easy. Get on Vfaq.com there is a walkthrough there. I would try bleeding your system first. look for leaks between your master and slave cylinder. Its a possibility that if you have air in your system it is making up for the lost fluid which is why you are still seeing your fluid full. if you end up replacing one first. do the slave cylinder, they are not expensive and easy to replace.

When my MC went it left a puddle all over carpet. But they both have about the same lifespan, so do both.

Just an FYI, when I went to replace my slave, the line was rusted into the slave cylinder so I just ripped it out and got a SS replacement from JNZ.

Use the vfaq like the previous poster said to properly bleed the system. If there is air in the system, it could be the symptoms you've described. If you properly bleed the system and it doesn't help, I'd recommend replacing both, and the line with a full SS setup. It's not a huge job I'd say 3 hrs start to finish for both slave and master and line

Check your firewall both inside the car and out under the dash where you foot pedal assembly is at. Look for liquid if you see any than you master cylinder is bad. Next check your slave boot and see if you see fluid under there. If you do it's slave but it could also be both. In my opinion just replace them both it's not hard to do just uncomfortable because you have to lay under the dash to do the master but it's well worth it. I just went to autozone and bought them they are life time warrantied there
