I read a few posts about these but everyones problem seems to differ.

I drove my car to work and everything was good with the clutch. I get in after work start it (all fine). Start bsing with my buddys while its warming up get back in and clutch just drops to the floor no preasure. I tried bleeding out the slave cylinder, gave me enough pressure to get home.

I drop the clutch to the floor (no pressure/resistance) then push as hard as i can and itll engage and let me shift. It doesnt stick, once i let off it releases. And if i let off in gear itll still stall. I checked, fluids are good. Rubbed the slave cylinder no moister/leakage. Checked clutch master and i dont see any leakage in the connectors or around the line.

WHen I depress clutch the slave cylinder will move (slightly but it still moves). If the master is bad then the slave wouldnt move right? Also if the slave is bad the clutch would just stick on the floor and not disengage right? I heard it could be the TOB but how would I tell without dropping the tranny?
The clutch DID need changed EVENTUALLY but it was still fine to drive.
ANY advice would help! thanks!

thanks guys i apriciate the help, i was lookin for leaks and bein drivin insane haha.

It sounds like your slave is shot. When your pedal drops to the floor, you've lost pressure in the system. An easy way to check the slave is to peel the rod boot back and see if there is fluid in it. If there is, it's shot.

The way its designed, the boot is what keeps everything together. By removing the boot, the cylinder is allowed to come apart.

Slaves are cheap. If your's is shot, it's best to buy an OEM one or find an OEM rebuild kit. Just keep in mind that the FWD and AWD slaves are different.

I doubt its either your master or slave if nothing is leaking. Seems like something is up with your throw out bearing. I'm afraid there is no easy way of checking your TOB without removing the trans.

Replace the slave and see if that helps(its cheaper) and then the master. Both worthwhile investments especially if your doing a clutch soon. If neither helps......might as well do that clutch and new oem t.o.b.......good luck.
