Clutch set-up for a 2.4 stroker

Hi, I am needing a new clutch for my 2.4 stroker that I am just installing and am in a delemma. Should I get the 2600 street disk, or a 2900 street disk. Also, I have a new clutch fork and an oem throwout bearing. Also, for the new pivot ball should I shim it with one or two washers (I have read a 50/50 split on the wiseman help would be appreciated) oh and my goals are 400 awhp and around 380awtq with a 50 trim an 280's, and link. I would think a 2600 would suffice for the job.

I had to put a washer under the pivot ball also when i installed the 2600.

I'm putting in a new pivot ball and clutch fork.. is the washer still needed, or only if I go with the 2900?? thanks

if you already pent all that money on the engine and everything why go half-ass on the clutch. I'd say go with a excedy twin carbon disc clutch and flywheel set-up.

Still put the washer. But no thicker than a nickle.

ok.. I'll do the washer.. and the reason for not doing the twin disk is I dont have any more money and got a great deal on the 2.4 but i would gladly take one as a donation

The washer is only needed if your clutch fork is not in the middle of the trans case opening when its touching the pressure plate fingers.

What your doing is getting your adjustment back in the master slave cylinder by adding the washer.

If your fork is fine from the beggining, then you dont need the washer.
