clutch replacement 6 bolt & 7 bolt fly wheel ?

I have a new clutch, that i got off a 1992 gsx. It has a 7 bolt fly wheel, and i want to put it in my 1990 tsi, but my tsi has a 6 bolt, so i got my tsi fly wheel resurfaced, and i was going to us all the parts like the PP, and clutch disc, is this ok i was told it is the same, i also got a new TOB.
