I am getting a Shep tranny and I ran into a problem. I have an ACT 2100 with about 8 months of driving on it and about 8 hard launches, still very good. But I plan on breaking into the 11's this summer and I don't think it will hold very long. I can a. replace the clutch with a 2600 when I do the tranny, or b. have to do the clutch half-way throught the summer. What do you guys think?
And also what is it you need to modify to make the clutch work, don't you need a longer slave cylinder rod?

The longer slave rod is just for a lighter tension. I personally have found the Act2600 a great clutch for everyday and track driving.

Go with the 2600. Keep the 2100 around for an emergency.

I run the Gabor Feramic disc/PP with an ACT flywheel with very good results. It will hold into the 11's no problem and clutch effort is the same as stock.
If you are wanting to stick with the ACT setup then I would say to swap in the 2600 while it's easy.

Thats what I was afraid you guys would say :( .
But I guess I will just have to wait a couple weeks and get the life out of this clutch...

AKA Launching from every light!

Also, What do you meen when you say it is for lighter tension?
People made it sound like a mod you have to do, do you?
