Clutch Pedal Vibration Over ~5500 rpm

After I had a new ACT2600 clutch and Xact flywheel installed, when my rpms go over 5500 and I am shifting, I feel a strong vibration from the clutch pedal. A mechanic that I know suggested that maybe the shop overtighened the bolts on the flywheel and warped it--which is causing the vibration.

Has anyone had a similar experience....and what ended-up being the cause. I'm also wondering if maybe something isn't tighened enough. But if something was loose, wouldn't I feel a vibration at lower rpms as well?

didn't want to start a new thread but 98GSX-WI and I have the same problem. I changed everything when I had the shop do a clutch install. when I shift from 1st to 2nd at about 6500k i get this vibration. even when at a stand still with the car in gear I can rev it pretty high and the pedal will vibrate. any ideas will gladly be appreciated.

Could be a flywheel problem.Did you install an new one? Could be engine balance problem is there balance shafts in the car..?Although if it was just no balance shaft or broken balance shaft belt think it would have been there before.Maybe check your balance shaft belt and see if its intact.
And you might have to check /balance your flywheel.Also if bolts mabye came off on the clutch that might do it.Did you use any loctite are you sure it was torqued .Can be easy to forget to torque the bolts sometimes and they can back out on flywheel or pressure plate.

I am not sure if pressure plate can be balanced or if it needs to be.I bought an sbr 3500 but have not installed it yet.I have to buy a 7 bolt flywheel since my 6 bolt won't work.I wish they were dual drilled or something.!!

I had a shop put my clutch in. I assume they did everything correct. If it keeps vibrating or gets worse then I will have to take it back to get looked at again.

Sorry to bring this back to life, but I have been having the same problem as well. I have a strong vibration in the clutch pedal after a high rpm shift (i.e. 5500-7k). I first noticed it a little when I took out the clutch restrictor and new clutch line, as well as the rebuilt trans from shep. Back then, it only happend out of the blue under HIGH rpm shifts (around 6-7k, nothing under that).

I recently put some new high-temp dot4 brake fluid in there (some blue stuff from germany or something, ). Now, i feel the vibration all the time under high shifting/rpms, and the vibration stays in the pedal untill i push it in a few times (**note that it is still vibrating when i come to a stop and the engine rpms are at idle**)

I have noticed that i am getting some chatter from the TOB, so that may be the cause, but I wouldnt think that it would make that much vibration.

Any thoughts?
