Hey guys,

I am experiencing a high rpm (3000+) vibration that I can only describe as a buzzing feel. It is constantly loosening bolts around the car. Before anyone suggests b-shafts..I don't have them

Car info:
90 Gsx
Magnus 2.3 stroker (Ross/Manley)
Stock flywheel
South bend DVD clutch
TRE tranny (50 miles old)
stock motor mounts (2 years old)

The vibration is from the motor and not the drive train, as I can duplicate it while the car is stopped. Vibration starts at 3000 and gets linearly stronger as rpm's increase all the way to redline. I have always had this vibration since I purchased the 2.3 stroker (5000 miles ago) from Magnus. When I called them shortly after purchase they stated that all stroker vibrate a bit.

It seems excessive to me. At least enough to loosen the oil cooler twice and also loosen the turbine housing to center cartridge bolts on my 3065.

Here is where it gets interesting. My memory seems to be failing me. I at one point, completely balanced the entire rotating assembly (including flywheel) on my previous motor. When I switched to my stroker I MAY have used the same flywheel and harmonic balancer that was previously balanced as a set on the previous motor. I cannot remember.

Would an out of balance flywheel/balancer cause these symptoms?

I believe it would, but I wanted to have other's opinions before I tear things apart again.

Thanks guys,

Not too sure about the flywheel, but a culprit could be wheels not balanced...alignment out of wack...does it shake when you hit the brakes? Could be the flywheel out of balance but like I said not sure.
